The low ambient temperature air source heat pump heating nominal condition is -12℃, and the working state of the ambient temperature is -25~43℃, it is obvious that they deal with the low-temperature environment "ability" is different, in turn, their refrigeration "ability" is different.

The compressor provides low temperature and low-pressure refrigerant "air injection", winter heating effect has been significantly improved, the normal working condition is as low as -12℃. This allows air source heat pump systems to be widely used in civil and industrial projects in severe and cold regions.
In short, low ambient temperature air source heat pumps (cryogenic heat pumps for short) are suitable for low ambient temperature scenarios, and air-cooled heat pumps are suitable for room temperature scenarios.
